The title track “Dreamatone” is a left field beat made one sound at a time, with maximum emotional impact as the goal. Made at a friend’s house while couch surfing and homeless after a four year relationship met it’s bitter end, the songs melody was constructed after waking from a dream in which Gaeta could hear and see a particular chord movement. With a laptop, a Juno 60 and a vision, the Panther set to work on what would become the single to his forthcoming full length, Golden Changes, out March 4th on Outside Recordings. For fans of Nosaj Thing, and Dilla.
“Samson” is an attempt to bring muscular drums to the fore. The fills reference Samiyam while the bassline owes something to say Mark Pritchard’s Harmonic 313 project. Although fairly straightforward in arrangement and instrumentation, there’s plenty of subtle variation and embroidery going on to reward multiple listens. An excercise in delayed gratification, the momentum builds towards a climax as additional percussion propels the groove while a vocoded bassline talks shop with the rhythms.
Features additional production by Derrick Curtis, aka Deflon and Matt Hettich, aka Wake
Bio:
Panther God is an electronic music producer and label founder, hailing from Miami, Fl. He spent his formative years watching MTV, in a small suburban town where he’d stay up late to calibrate his FM radio antenna, hoping to catch snippets of the Miami Bass stations transmitting Luke and Gucci Crew. Between the fuzz of radio static, heavy beats, and braggadocio rhymes, PG found his inspiration- his musical space to explore. He has since become an emerging presence in the international electronic music scene, having shared the stage with Prefuse 73, Daedelus, Glitch Mob, Bonobo and many more. His sound is chameleonic, ranging from dark and minimal to synth driven hip hop and pretty much everything in between.

Well, because I produced it and it's dope! Musashi Xero has a really unique sound and is the vocalist for this project. Think Aesop Rob, Guru, and Future over smooth Jazz infused space beats. Panther God
